It's Go(Pro) Time

I just got my first GoPro Hero 3 Black edition camera last night from Best Buy and I've posted my first GoPro video to YouTube for all to see.  This first video is nothing special, I'm just fooling around with my new toy to determine how far I can push it.  I'm getting to know how much file space I need and figuring out how long the battery lasts.  I can already tell that I'll need to purchase the battery bacpac to get any longevity out of it.

I like the quality of the 720p setting and I think that's where I'll be able to keep my file sizes under control.  But this thing performs really well at 1080p and also has settings for full cinema.  I'm still getting to know the still photo function but at 30 fps, I doubt I'll be missing any shots.

One of the coolest features is the built-in WiFi and the ability to operate the camera's settings with my smartphone.  The only downfall is that you need to have an internet connection to operate this new feature.  I'll post some more to this article as I begin to figure out how the WiFi remote works; apparently it can control up to 50 cameras and is compatible with the Hero 2 with the optional WiFi bacpac.
